I have planned to start this blog for a few weeks now but haven't found the perfect moment to start. Maybe I was waiting until we weeded the garden enough, or until the lawn was freshly mowed, or until it just felt right. I was speaking with two friends on Sunday evening who gently nudged me into taking the leap. They reminded me of all the successful blogs that started out a little rocky and made their way to greatness. They reminded me that I had a lot to say, a lot to share. And if things were messy at the beginning, well, it was just that more real for everyone.
Messy I can do.
So here it is. Welcome to our family digs. I'll hope you'll visit often.

Yesterday's harvest, a typical harvest these days. Lemon sorrel, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, blueberries, daisies, zinnias, and calendula. I hope this never gets old.
